Be Part of Adelaide Arcade’s History – Enter the 140th Anniversary Time Capsule Competition!

This year, Adelaide Arcade is celebrating an incredible milestone – 140 years of history! To mark the occasion, we’re inviting you to become a part of our story by contributing to our special 140th Anniversary Time Capsule competition.

What’s the Competition About?

We’re giving you the chance to leave your mark on history by submitting a letter, photograph, or drawing that represents life in 2025. You might also like to share your favourite memory, experience, or future predictions for Adelaide Arcade! We will select the four most unique and inspiring entries, and they will be carefully sealed inside our time capsule and locked away to be rediscovered by future generations!

Why Enter?

• Be part of history – Your entry will become a treasured piece of Adelaide Arcade’s rich legacy.
• Share your story – Future generations will get a glimpse into what life was like in 2025 through your contribution.
• Exclusive Prizes – The four selected entries will be invited to our time capsule ceremony on Tuesday, 6th of May, exactly 140 years after the foundation stone was laid in the time capsule. One overall winner will receive a $200 Adelaide Arcade voucher, and three runner-ups will receive a $50 Adelaide Arcade voucher as a token of our appreciation.

How to Enter

1. In-centre –  by visiting Adelaide Arcade, filling out the Time Capsule Entry Card, and placing it in the designated time capsule submission box in the centre of Adelaide Arcade.
2. Online – Digital entries are also welcome. Simply download the digital Time Capsule Entry Card here, fill out both sides and email it to info@adelaidearcade.com.au.
3. Post – If you have hard copies (photographs, drawings, etc.) you would like to submit, you can post them to Adelaide Arcade, GPO Box 460, Adelaide, SA 5001.

Key Dates

• Entries close: Monday, 14th of April 2025 (The four winners will be notified via email or phone by Tuesday, 22nd April 2025.)
• Time capsule sealing ceremony: Tuesday, 6th of May 2025
